Crews International Australia (NZ)

Recruiting for the Cruise Line Industry.

Requirements

Text Box: Legal:

At present, most Cruise Liners require employees to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. However, some positions are flexible with age requirements (check the company’s web site for details). All prospective employees must agree to a Police Name Check. This check is a standard procedure that is required by law and is primarily concerned with identifying any existing criminal offenses. In addition to the police check, individuals must partake in a full drug screen before they can be guaranteed a position on board.

Medical:

If you are applying for a job on board a Cruise Liner, you will be required to undergo a thorough physical examination prior to departure. Life on board a vessel is physically demanding. Although positions are open to everyone with the appropriate qualifications, Crews International emphasizes the importance of being in good physical and mental health if you are to get the most out of your experience and meet the demands of your position.

General Eligibility:

As well as the legal and medical requirements (above), applicants must possess the relevant skills to be employed in the field they are applying for. Be sure to attach your Curriculum Vitae to your application form along with a current photograph. Please note that a number of positions include pre-departure training; and, in some cases, the Cruise Line Company will pay for the flight to the city where you will be trained along with the course fee. Please note that some Cruise Liners require a minimum of one to two years current experience. Again, refer to individual Cruise Liner’s web sites for this information.
