Visas and Travel Documents:

If you are offered a position with a Cruise Liner, you will need to obtain the necessary US C1/D Seaman’s Visa. All employment offers are subject to applicants obtaining this visa as you can not enter the United States without it. This visa entitles you to enter the U. S. for the purposes of joining a Cruise Ship. Most recruitment services reimburse you for the cost of the visa. All necessary documentation will be sent to you after you have received a letter confirming your position from Crews International. Once your employment status is confirmed, the visa normally takes three to four weeks to process.

Medical and Travel Insurance:

The Cruise Line Companies do not provide employees with travel insurance. Travel insurance remains the responsibility of the applicant. However, once you are on board and working on the Cruise Liner, you will automatically be covered for medical insurance.
